| Who I am |
Oh, boy…who I am. According to my Twitter profile, I’m an Executive Director, Author, C-10 Podcast host, Christ follower, Colonoscopy and heart advocate, procrastinator, decent guy. Usually. And that’s probably a pretty good starting point. Like many of you, I stumbled into the nonprofit world after spending most of my career in journalism, including the book world. I’ve also been a bill collector, janitor and forklift driver. My wife and I have been married for (almost) 30 years –assuming we make it to May 2024…haha. We have three kids ranging from 25, to an (almost) college grad –assuming he makes it to May 2024, to a freshman in college. And we have two Weimaraners named after Elvis.

This is another tricky one…thanks, Chris and Josh! Ultimately, what makes me “good” at my job is that I have a heart for people. Simple as that. It doesn’t hurt that in a previous life I’ve been a journalist, so I can sometimes tell a story, and a bill collector, so I’m not afraid of asking for money.
