    Good Monday morning to everyone!

My typical daily routine is hot coffee (cup of ambition) and a scroll through the latest on LinkedIn and other channels to see what’s going on in the world.

Lately its been leaving more frustrated than motivating so I thought I’d start a new routine this week and pop over here to see what’s motivating you all this week or maybe share some encouraging words as we all tackle this work of telling stories . . .

For me this week I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on a massive database migration that just might actually work and be done by the end of the week! It was looking pretty tenuous there for a bit and I’m kind being super nerdy about getting the final data sets (just, y’know, a few hundred thousand records) in, done, and verified – and so far we are bang on accurate in dollars and donors.

Anyone else need a little pep talk or to celebrate something this fine Monday morning?

    YES PLEASE CLAY!

After a week away from home and the (home) office, I’m feeling a little overwhelmed today. So many unread emails, so many things on the to do list. So seeing this post was a real treat!

So great to hear that the migration is on track for completion. That’s one of those things that sounds so easy on paper … but never is.

Here’s something that’s bringing me joy today. On Friday morning (when I was in New Mexico planning the 20024 Conference), I was FaceTiming with my kids before they went to school and I went to the airport. My almost-five-year-old daughter had this gem as we were hanging up:

“I hope your plane doesn’t hit a cloud, Daddy!”

    Thanks Annalise 🙂

You had me at coffee and database migration that just might actually work — I felt relief for you and I don’t even know the story! 🙂

This proves I need Monday motivation — it’s Wednesday! And when i read database migration I almost broke out in hives. I am reminding myself that the ick of the migration results in a more robust and usable database. I’m also reminding myself that Clay is doing this — not me!!
